1.1 Introduction

The EOL Test System (End-of-Line Test System) refers to a series of tests conducted at the final stage of product production to ensure that products meet established performance and safety standards before leaving the production line. The test system typically consists of multiple test workstations that together form a complete test process, used to perform tests including electrical performance testing, mechanical performance testing, functional testing, and safety testing.
The EOL test system is designed based on a modular concept, facilitating maintenance and upgrades. The system can automatically execute test programs, record test data, and provide diagnostic information when faults are detected. Additionally, the test system can be integrated with the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and perform functional testing of the Battery Management System (BMS), enabling real-time data exchange and automated management of the production process.
1.2 Working principle
The working principle of the EOL test system is to test various performance indicators of the battery by simulating various operating conditions of the battery in actual operation. Specifically, the test system first establishes a connection with the battery through the communication module, and then sets test parameters such as voltage, current, and load according to the requirements of the test items. Subsequently, the test system activates the power module and electronic load to conduct loading tests on the battery. During the test, the data acquisition module collects various real-time data of the battery and transmits the data to the test software for analysis and processing. The test software judges the test results according to the preset test standards. If the test results meet the requirements, the test is passed; if the test results do not meet the requirements, the test fails and corresponding error information is given.
2.1 High-precision detection: High-precision instruments and meters are adopted, which can detect tiny defects and performance deviations, ensuring that all performance parameters of products meet strict quality standards and making test results accurate and reliable
2.2 Comprehensive functional testing: It covers all functions of the tested products to ensure they can work normally under various conditions. For example: safety regulation testing, insulation resistance function detection, cell voltage and cell temperature accuracy detection, relay function detection, SOC testing, DCIR testing, etc.
2.3 Enhanced Production Efficiency: Enables rapid testing, significantly reducing the dwell time of products at the end of the production line. Compared with traditional testing methods, the automated EOL test system can perform simultaneous testing on multiple products, thereby remarkably improving production efficiency. The test system features automated testing and automatically generates test reports in standard formats.
2.4 Data Recording and Analysis: Detailed recording and analysis of data generated during the testing process provide a basis for optimizing the production process. Through extensive data mining, potential production issues such as component quality fluctuations and process defects can be identified, enabling timely corrective measures to enhance the overall quality of tested products.
2.5 Cost Reduction: By identifying defective products through EOL testing, potential battery issues can be detected and rectified in a timely manner, thus avoiding recall costs and maintenance expenses caused by product quality problems after non-conforming products enter the market. Meanwhile, it improves the product qualification rate and reduces the waste of raw materials and man-hours
2.6 Customizability: The system allows customization of test items and procedures according to the specific characteristics of different products and the process requirements of customer testing. It provides adaptable EOL test solutions for both complex high-end equipment and simple consumer products.
